There are many times when you may have found yourself wishing you had an extra pocket for your keys, a pill you need to take, hair pins or even your engagement or wedding ring. Pockets and purses don’t always cut it – and it doesn’t always make sense to leave them on the counter somewhere. That’s where Ring Bandits come into play.

What is a Ring Bandit?

Ring bandits are bracelets that have a hidden zipper for you to put your smaller items in, when you need it for inconvenience. In this article, I’ll break down more options on how these bracelets have been used – as they’re not just for rings!
These bracelets are made in the U.S., are water-friendly and come in a variety of styles.
Ring Bandit Collections
The ring bandit comes in numerous collections that you can choose from to fit your own personal style!
Apple Watch Bandit

If you have an Apple Watch, you can not only have a hidden compartment for your tiny goodies, but you can also still wear your watch (without wearing two different accessories on your wrist) – If you enjoy the layered bracelet look, get down with your bad self and try one of the other styles below!
This band comes in sizes small (6 inches), medium (7 inches) and large (8 inches).
The Original Bandit

This is the bandit that I personally purchased (although I’m def eyeballing that Apple Watch one, too). It has a criss-cross pattern that gives it a little bit of sass (IMO), and gives me some serious beach/tropical vacation vibes!
This band comes in sizes small (6 inches), medium (7 inches) and large (8 inches).
The Bunchie

This is for all my 90’s babies! The scrunchie has returned! This bandit bracelet lets you look like you just have your favorite hair accessory accenting your look, but there’s definitely more to it that meets the eye! Oh – and did I mention you can actually use it as a hair tie, as well?
The Heavy Duty

This bandit has more of a sweat-band look and feel to it. This is for those times where you are ready to get down to the nitty gritty and race to the finish line in the most killer obstacle course ever. Or if you’re racing to the grocery store – you rock it your way, girl! This is not only a bracelet, but can also be used as an ankle bracelet!
This band comes in sizes small (7 inches), medium (8 inches) and large (9 inches). If sizing for your ankle, the size range is small (6-7 inches), medium (7-8 inches) and large (8-9 inches).
What Can Fit in a Ring Bandit?
The standard sizing of the pocket can typically fit 6 quarters stacked, and the width is the size of a standard house key.
Bracelet for Engagement/Wedding Rings

I recently got engaged and told myself, “I’ll never take my ring off” – WRONG. I’ve found numerous times where I’ve needed to take my ring off, primarily for the safety of not wanting to damage my ring!
I take off my ring and put it in my bandit when:
- Doing dishes
- Typing on my computer (and it’s cold). My fingers aren’t as swollen when it’s cold, so my ring keeps spinning around while typing – rather annoying.
- Giving the dog a bath
- Working out – I do not want a kettlebell to destroy my ring.
- Blow drying my hair – if you have not felt the wrath of a hot ring on your finger from the blow dryer, I don’t recommend it.
- Taking a shower (when it’s feeling a little extra loose). It’s definitely the best way for me to know that my ring is safe and helps my anxiety in knowing it’s not going to accidentally get knocked off a counter and into the sink or get lost somewhere. It’s always safe on my wrist and good to go. Bracelet for Keys You aren’t going to be able to fit ALL of your keys in your bandit, but it’s handy to have when:
- Going for a walk or jog
- Going out with girlfriends and you didn’t want to be burdened with a purse. Those are the times I’ve found it to be super valuable for my keys personally, but each person is going to have their own reason for wanting to use the bracelet for keys.
- Bracelet for Pills/Medication Sometimes, you feel like you need just one Tylenol with you just in case that headache comes on again. Or maybe you have a pill you have to take each day, but are shy about letting the people around you know. Maybe it’s easier to remember to take your medication knowing it’s on your wrist – or you don’t have the convenience of carrying the entire bottle/package with you. Whatever the case may be, this pocket is absolutely perfect for keeping your medication safe, hidden and easily accessible for whenever you need it.
Bracelet for Dog Treats
I take my dog for walks daily and if she poops, she gets a cookie (treat). If she doesn’t, we typically still give her one at the end of the walk, as long as she was good the entire time – which she usually is.
Being a woman, our clothing rarely ever has pockets, and if it does, they think that the only thing that we care about carrying around is a penny (and even then, would it really stay in that tiny pocket we have clinging to our hipbone?).
The bandit allows you to tuck away that treat (and your house key, if the cookie is small enough) and be on your merry way! Best part is, it’s easy to open up and get that treat out so you can give it to your dog quick enough before they get distracted and start tugging you around.
Bracelet to Hold Hair Accessories
I absolutely LOVE my bandit to hold my hair pins and hair ties. I am a musical theater girl, so when I’m at rehearsal, my hair has a mind of its own.
It’s nice to have a backup hair tie and extra hair pins on my wrist so that I don’t have to disrupt rehearsal to run to my bag and rummage through until I find them (typically at the very bottom of the back or deep in the depths of some random pocket).
If you have the bunchie, you have a hair tie there, already! #winning
Bracelet to Hold Spare Change
I don’t know about you, but I absolutely hate spare change – mainly for the fact that I can never find a place to put them where they don’t scatter all over my purse, the counter, the car, etc.
If you receive change and don’t have anywhere to put them until you get to that piggy bank, the bandit is a great place to store them in the meantime.
Bracelet to Hold Memory Cards
Hello photographers! I’m talking to you. If you’re on the go with your camera and know you might run out of space, it’s a pain to carry around an extra bag because you want your extra memory cards, but don’t want to risk them getting lost or damaged by putting them in your pant pocket.
You can fit 1 or more memory cards in your bracelet to have in a safe place for when you need to make a quick swap.
No time wasted by busting into your bag, finding the pocket where you store your cards, making the swap, and packing things back up again. A simple zip, swap and zip again and you’re set!
